The same weekend we held Dad's memorial service, my PPOC people were gathered in Montreal for the National Convention. I reeeeeeeally wanted to be there, but I obviously knew I couldn't. I wanted to wait until after the convention was over to announce my image competition placements, because it's still possible for me to have won an award for one of them, and then I'd have to bore you all with another PPOC post announcing that. . . lol. Alas, a trophy this year was not to be, not from Nationals anyway. I guess I can still be happy that two of my winning images received trophies at Provincials!! Well, during national print competition, my images, all 4 of them, made it into Salon!! First time ever, getting all four of my entries to hang in the Salon. I am pretty pumped about that, because, well, it's a big deal. It means I'm getting somewhere. I still have a ways to go, and I believe I always will, (unless I figure out a way to read the judges mind, before I even enter an image ;) )
So these are the images I entered, with their respective certificates of placement. What does this mean? Well, it means I've got more print merits to add to my collection to get me closer to my MPA. Oh yeah, I also received my CPA (Craftsman of Photographic Arts) designation just recently!! THIS was a feat in itself!! Took many years for me to do this and I've finally accomplished it. But since I didn't make it to Nationals this year, it will be presented to me next April in Saskatoon at National Convention. I'm planning a year in advance to make sure I make it there!!
Anyway, I just want to thank my clients for being so amazing!! Without you I could not continue to do what I love!!
