Faq’s

How will I know what to do in front of the camera? ~ You know what? I’m going to tell you to practice in front of the mirror. Practice making the faces you might see looking through the Victoria’s Secret, or Venus catalogues, the sultry and the fun looks. We want a mix of looks in your album, right?

Do you offer hair and makeup? ~ Hair and makeup is an extra expense, and is done by Kelsey Marie Make-up, either during an evening session, or on a Saturday. Her fee is $100 for both hair and makeup, for private boudoir sessions.

Do you include a disk of the files with the session fee? ~ I do not include the files with the session fee. That would be a great deal but you must understand the work that is put into a boudoir session does not allow me to give away my work. Your session fee is for the phone or in person consultation, my time with you in the studio, set & background changes, uploading time to computer, double and triple backup storage,  several hours of editing to make you look perfect,  uploading time for your gallery or meeting time for ordering, album design, and order packaging. These are just the major inclusions. :)

What if I don’t want my photos to appear on your website? ~ This is totally fine. All of my clients have given me permission to use their photos on my website and it is how I advertise, but if you are at all uncomfortable with having yours online, I will respect this.

I really want to wait until I lose 20 pounds! ~  Most of us are unhappy with some part of our body. Every body is different, but amazing and unique. With soft lighting, proper posing, and possibly some flowy fabric or jewelry, we can hide just about anything you don’t like. Remember, retouching is free, those little imperfections will be a thing of the past!

Do you only do studio sessions or can you come to my home? ~ I will do in-home sessions as well, if you have a room that will add to the atmosphere we are trying to create, with at least one big window.

How will I know what to do in front of the camera? ~ Not to worry! I will tell you how and where to stand, what to wear for each part of the session, where to look while I’m shooting. Most of my clients have never done this before, and are very happy with the outcome.

How long will the session last? ~ Your session is generally about 2 hours long, sometimes more, sometimes less. Some women come with a very definite set of ideas, and are done in less time.

How much do I have to spend? ~  Most of my clients opt to purchase an album, because they simply cannot say no to such a luxurious presentation of their images. Whatever you do, please budget for session and prints/album all at once, you wouldn’t want to do the session only to have to wait months or years to purchase the final product! For this reason, all my pricing is laid out simplistically on the pricing page. No surprises.
