I have NEVER had the pleasure of photographing a newborn this young, (still had his needle band-aid and foot bracelet on!) but when his daddy told me how big he was at birth, I thought, “they better get him in here quick!” Sure enough, that little stinker had already outgrown his love of the curled up position, and didn’t sleep nearly as well as we all had expected him to. But I do feel honored that he had one of his firsts right there in my studio. (twice) 
Mama, you know what I’m talkin’ about! I’ll see you all again soon!

but the skies are so delightful! (for photos that is!) A big thank you to this family for letting me capture just a teeny bit of them last night, I had so much fun and I know little “B” did too!

with a mom and her adorable son, it made me want to run home to my boys and quickly grab the camera and do some self portraits with them. I need to do this sometime soon with mine, before they get too big. . .

Your lives have been filled with all of our children, now its your turn to have one of your own, and I can’t think of a baby luckier than yours, to have parents like you. Thank you to daddy, (who was a bit shy for the camera) for taking such good care of mine while in your class, you two are going to make wonderful parents! I’ll see you again soon!

So stinkin’ adorable, I could have chatted all morning with mr. D, but occasionally the subject would go sort of, well, you know boys, they like to talk about boogers ‘n stuff sometimes. . . 
Little miss A, well, she LOOOOOOOOVED the dress-up part so much, to get her to twirl was easy peasy!
And well, sibling closeness, at its best, relish it now, cause you won’t see it for long!

Well, as promised, I made my decision on Christmas Eve, and gave the lucky family a call. Needless to say, the mom was very excited. I too am very excited to meet them, and will be doing their session next Thursday. Hopefully I’ll get to share a few here on the blog! I do have to say, the decision was incredibly tough, not one I thought about lightly. I will do this again though, and hope that more and more photographers will join this cause because it is so worth while, sharing what we love to do and gifting someone in need. You’ll be hearing from me again next year about a nomination!
